Stuart Davidson BDS Glasg MFDS RCPS Glasg (Dentist)

Following graduation as a dentist from Glasgow University in 2003, Stuart started his career in an award winning dental practice in East Kilbride near Glasgow.

This time was followed by a position held between the Oral and Maxillofacial Unit at the Southern General Hospital, Glasgow (which dealt with dental facial surgery, trauma and cancers) and Ayrshire and Arran Community dental service providing care to anxious and medically compromised patients.

Stuart spent a year in Hawkes Bay, New Zealand, working in private practice expanding his skill set.

Stuart has a keen interest in treating phobic patients and regularly attends post graduate lectures on how to improve the patient experience at Ivy Cottage Dental Practice in Inverkip. This culminated in Stuart completing a certificated course in hypnosis run by the British Society of Medical and Dental Hypnosis Scotland. This, along with Stuart's extensive dental sedation experience, has allowed him to develop an excellent referral service for dentists, allowing him to meet and treat patients from throughout the West of Scotland.

Having already gained his MFDS through the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons Glasgow in 2005, Stuart is continuing his education with a Masters qualification with the University of Leeds which he started in January 2010.

This new advanced qualification will enhance all his skills and he will be able to provide more advanced dental treatment for all his patients.

Stuart has recently returned from Boston where he received extensive training in the 6 Month Smiles ® short term orthodontic technique. This will allow him to offer patients a suitable solution to crooked teeth improving patients' confidence and self-esteem.

Our dedicated dental hygienist is here to help with improving and maintaining healthy teeth and gums. Prevention of dental disease is very important and Helens enthusiasm and experience allows us to offer a fantastic dental hygienist service.

Kirsty is the friendly face and voice of Ivy Cottage Dental Practice in Inverkip. Kirtsy has worked at Ivy Cottage Dental Practice for 4 years and she is always keen to help with any enquiries you may have.

Linzi McCallum

We are delighted to announce Linzi McCallum has recently started at Ivy Cottage Dental Practice in Inverkip. Linzi has just left Inverclyde Academy to pursue a career in dental nursing. We wish her a warm welcome to the team.
